Hello! My name is Vivi, an 18-year-old student from Taiwan. I was born in the countryside but moved to the capital for better education. In Taiwan, everyone can get the education with a really low fee, and there's also a lot of financial support from the government. However, studying in the different city, a different school makes a huge difference. Getting a better education, for us, is the most efficient way to change the social class and play a big part in determining your future. I've seen plenty of student studying day and night just in order to succeed in the big exams so that they can study in the best university or high school. However, at the same time, there's also students who hold extreme resources and opportunities but keep wasting them. I'm from a normal family, but fortunately, my parent has seen education as one of the most important things in our family even when we don't have enough resources. Thus, I am able to be in several wonderful schools and experience first hand how education changes my life.

Last year and the year before, I volunteered in Lesotho, a country in Southern Africa, and taught several courses there. I saw the impact that caused by lack of education; I felt the desperation and helpless from the families that are not capable of sending their children to school; I heard the stories about how education might change their future from those children in the organization that we help.

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." That's why I joined Dreams Givers, to make a difference, to light up the hope.
